My #1 tool
Makita DTM50Z Multi-Tool

Makita DTM50Z 18V Li-Ion LXT Multi-Tool

A tool that gets used pretty much every single day, good for so many different things. If I could only ever buy one tool, it would probably be this.

Honourable mention
Evolution Combi Drill Driver R13CMB-Li

Evolution Combi Drill Driver R13CMB-Li

I was gifted this drill a month or 2 into the renovation and I still use it faithfully to this day. Despite being a lesser known brand, the quality of Evolution really competes with others.

Makita DJR186Z Reciprocating Saw
Makita DJR186Z Reciprocating Saw
This was the first tool I ever bought. Amazing for the rip out, hasn't been used much with more intricate stuff but still comes in handy sometimes.

Stanley Fibreglass Claw Hammer
Stanley Fibreglass Claw Hammer
A good hammer is always going to be needed when renovating, not much more has to be said really.

Stanley Fatmax Heavy Duty Trade Knife
Stanley Fatmax Heavy Duty Trade Knife
A Stanley knife, with sharp blades, is worth its weight in gold. From opening packages to cutting materials, you're gonna need one all the time.

Makita LD030P Laser Distance Measure
Makita LD030P Laser Distance Measure
I wasted so much time measuring with a tape measure when I could've just been using a laser measurer. Easily one of the purchases that has saved me the most time since I bought it.

OX Trade 5m Tape Measure
OX Trade 5m Tape Measure
A laser measurer speeds up the bigger measurements, but sometimes an old fashioned tape is still needed. 2m is fine for a lot of things, 5m is better, 8m is probably overkill for the average renovator.

Makita DJV180Z Jigsaw
Makita DJV180Z Jigsaw
Unbelievably good for cutting different things from flooring, to architraves that aren't a straight cut and had to be scribed due to wonky walls.

Makita DGA452Z Angle Grinder
Makita DGA452Z Angle Grinder
One of those products I've bought and haven't had to use much of, but still good for when I needed it during tiling. Will definitely come in handy during future projects too.

Evolution Compound Mitre Saw R185CMS-Li
Evolution Compound Mitre Saw R185CMS-Li
Another product I was kindly gifted near the start of the renovation that I still use to this day. So efficient when it comes to cutting things straight or at 45 degree angles when doing things like skirting & architraves.

Bonus
Makita DBO180Z Random Orbital Sander

Makita DBO180Z 18V Li-ion Random Orbital Sander

This is a bonus because it's a relatively new purchase but has come in so handy. From sanding doors, to working on my window sills, this has been great for helping to get good finishes across the house.
